This 14-inch tote is crafted from upcycled upholstery fabrics in a soft, neutral palette of creams, taupes, and warm browns. The front features a structured patchwork design that blends geometric motifs, textured weaves, subtle animal-inspired patterns, and classic stripes. The mix of fabrics creates depth and dimension while maintaining an elegant, understated look.

The upper portion and base are trimmed in rich brown fabric for durability and structure. Sturdy shoulder straps provide comfortable everyday wear. A secure top zipper keeps belongings protected, and a zippered exterior pocket offers convenient access to essentials.

Compact yet functional, this 14-inch bag is refined, practical, and completely one of a kind—no two will ever be the same.

ABOUT THE BRAND & HOW THESE BAGS ARE MADE

All of my bags are handmade by me, on my own sewing machine, one at a time. This is slow work by design. Nothing here is factory-produced, outsourced, or rushed.

My bag lines include Sew Groovy Totes, handbags, and smaller utility bags. All are created with the same philosophy: thoughtful design, quality materials, and respect for the resources used to make them.

SEW GROOVY TOTES ? A RETURNING MINDSET

The Sew Groovy Tote line is inspired by the quilted and handmade bags many of us carried in our teens?when recycling, repairing, and reusing were part of everyday life.

This was before fast fashion, when quilting, patchwork, and creative reuse weren?t trends?they were values.

That mindset never disappeared. It waited.

Today, we are consciously recovering that way of thinking and rejecting fast fashion and its waste?not out of nostalgia, but responsibility.

FABRIC RESCUE & MATERIAL CHOICES

I work with a combination of:

Deadstock fabric refers to unused, leftover materials from manufacturers or designers that would otherwise be discarded. Using these fabrics is not about saving money?it?s about saving resources.

Textile production consumes enormous amounts of water, fuel, oil, and chemicals. Polyester, in particular, is plastic derived from fossil fuels. Creating textiles meant to be worn briefly and thrown away is environmentally irresponsible.

My work is a quiet refusal of that cycle.

Instead, I focus on transforming rescued, often disjointed materials into cohesive, functional designs meant to last.

DESIGN, STRUCTURE & SIZES

Exact dimensions, strap lengths, closures, and materials are shown in the photos and listed in the item specifics, which should always be used as the final reference.

SIGNATURE POCKET PLACEMENT

All current designs feature one external zipper pocket, placed off-center on the upper right side of the bag.

This placement is intentional and has become a signature element of my work. Your hand naturally reaches this spot, making it easy to locate essentials?most often a phone?without searching.

The pocket is typically deep, lined, and secured with a zipper.

Based on customer feedback and personal experience, I no longer include internal pockets in most designs. Items placed inside internal pockets are easily forgotten.

(Some older designs may still include internal pockets.)

COORDINATING PIECES

Some bags include a coordinating removable pouch, often intended for cables, small accessories, or items you want to keep contained inside the bag. Availability depends on the fabric and design.

When fabric allows, I also create coordinating accessories.

MODELING & VISUAL REFERENCES

You may see the bags photographed on a physical mannequin, as well as in some listings on AI-generated models or short animated videos.

AI tools allow me to show how quilted, fabric-rescue bags can look elegant, confident, and appropriate for everyday life?at work, in meetings, or while walking around town.

DESIGNED TO BE SEEN

These bags are meant to be worn proudly. Quilted bags made from rescued materials can be both practical and glamorous in the right setting.

Pair them with a tailored coat, a work outfit, or everyday clothing. Fabric reuse deserves to be visible.

Wearing a well-made bag made from rescued materials is a quiet way to share a message of environmental stewardship?and an invitation to think differently about longevity and quality.

Most of my bags are made primarily from cotton and other durable fabrics selected for sustainability and long-term use.

MADE TO LAST

These bags are built to be used, cleaned, and kept. Depending on materials, they may be washed or dry-cleaned. They are constructed with care using quality fabrics chosen to hold up over time.

My goal is to create bags that stay in your life for years?bags you might pass down, gift, or donate for reuse long after disposable fashion has failed.
