A WONDERFUL VINTAGE FIND, THIS DOLL WAS PRODUCED FOR THE TOURIST MARKET AND SOLD AT THE HARRODS DEPARTMENT STORE IN THE 70S, presumably as an up-market souvenir for some lucky little girl.
And, this particular Amanda Jane is in absolutely mint condition - the paintwork on her face is perfect and her costume has never been removed. (In fact all parts of her outfit are still fixed by plastic ties - please see the ribbon on the front of her right shoe.)
The white plastic still holding the doll and never has it been out of the box !
This would make an excellent gift !
We particularly love her rosy cheeks and lips and red/orange fishnet tights! The other rather unusual thing about this doll is her hair colour - it is very nearly very very dark brown . And of course, her Beefeater outfit can be removed - imagine the lovely black hat worn with one of our red velvet coats - now wouldn't she look gorgeous?
