Being offered is a fine circa 1880's silverplate long dish by Derby of Derby, Connecticut, founded in 1873 by Mr. Shelton, Mr. Miller and Mr. Newcomb.  In 1876 the company received the highest merit at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, for there flatware design.

This dish has an applied Art Nouveau Flower motif, around the inside top rim. The dish has an ornate hand engraved design in the center of the inside bottom.

   It is a beautiful piece with a fantastic Art Nouveau motif.  We think it had been made around the late 19th century.

Condition: good.  The pattern around the bowl and in the center are crisp and well defined. 

There are no monograms.
