This versatile model, "KOTETSU," is by Makoto Sakuramura, guitarist and vocalist of the Wagakki Band under the pseudonym "Machiya." Featuring a unique 839mm scale and 29 frets, it's tuned two and a half steps down (B/E/A/D/F#/B). By attaching a capo to the fifth fret, it can be used as a 628mm scale guitar in standard tuning, and simply shifting the capo instantly downtunes it. Unlike downtuning, the same note is produced from the same fret, making it visually easy to play. The three types of pickups offer a highly versatile sound, offering a new option: a six-string guitar with crisp bass. Note: This guitar uses the officially recommended D'Addario 1046 set. Due to the neck scale, shorter strings than D'Addario cannot be used.
There are scratches, dents, and signs of wear throughout, as well as dullness/rust on the metal parts. The truss rod works well, with plenty of room for adjustment in both forward and backward bow directions.
The neck curvature has been adjusted with the rod and is now nearly straight. The frets still have ample height, providing no significant playing difficulties.
