This antique Old Paris (Vieux Paris) porcelain vase dates to the mid 19th century and features a white baluster body with a flared trumpet neck sat upon on a round pedestal foot.
It is distinguished by elaborate, moulded handles on either side, heavily gilded and shaped like stylized interlaced vines or scrolls. The body is hand-painted with vibrant polychrome floral bouquets; the front displays a lush arrangement featuring a pink rose, blue morning glories, and yellow pansies, while the reverse shows a simpler spray of pink poppies.
Height: 24.5 cm - Base diameter: 8.5 cm - Rim diameter: 10.5 cm
Displays well but with some wear to gilding and a couple of small chips to the scrolling handles.
