Deck Theme & Playstyle

This Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor deck is a Dimir Faerie tribal deck focused on building a wide board of evasive creatures. Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor rewards you for having Faeries in play while providing additional card advantage when they die. Creatures like Faerie Seer, Hypnotic Sprite, Brazen Borrower, and Cloud of Faeries provide a steady stream of flying threats and useful effects. Glen Elendra Liege, Sprite Noble, and Favorable Winds strengthen the entire board and turn your small Faeries into legitimate combat threats. The deck also uses Bident of Thassa, Reconnaissance Mission, and Distant Melody to keep cards flowing as your creatures connect with opponents.

The deck backs up its tribal strategy with plenty of countermagic, bounce, theft, and removal to maintain control of the battlefield. Sower of Temptation, Puppeteer Clique, and Faerie Artisans give the deck additional ways to take advantage of opposing creatures. Kindred Dominance, Devastation Tide, and Curse of the Swine provide powerful answers when the battlefield becomes difficult to manage. Overall, the deck plays as a tempo-focused Faerie swarm, using flying creatures and constant interaction to gradually overwhelm opponents.
