Fender Japan JAG -70 SBL Mod. Jag-Stang Sonic Blue Electric Guitar, 2002-2004. This is a used Fender Japan Jag-Stang, a Kurt Cobain model.
It's in excellent condition.
Includes: body, soft case (non-original), and tremolo arm. This is a used Fender Japan JAG-70 SBL.
The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan TB-14 (Custom 5 trembucker). It also comes with what is likely the original pickup, but this has not been inspected for functionality.
The volume pot also appears to have been replaced. This is an original Jag-Stang designed by the late Kurt Cobain to suit his own style.
The serial indicates it was manufactured between 2002 and 2004.
While the basic style is similar to a Mustang, it features unique features such as a distinctive distorted body shape and rear humbucking pickup. The color is vibrant Sonic Blue. This guitar is in typical used condition with some marks.
The pickguard shows signs of play .
The metal plate on the control panel has marks and tarnish.
The jack washer has some discoloration.
The top of the body has pen-nib-sized and rice-grain-sized dents, marks, and scuffs.
From the back to the side of the body, there are rice-grain-sized and pea-sized dents, marks, and scuffs.
There is a 3cm paint crack near the end of the body.
The frets have no localized dents and more than 80% of them remain. The truss rod has a range of travel in both the tightening and loosening directions.
Operation has been confirmed. There are no problems with the output or controls.
It weighs approximately 3.72kg(8.20 lbs.) and comes with an 3rd party brand soft case.
