A charming blue and white porcelain covered box of quatrefoil form, finely decorated with floral motifs along the sides and a playful scene of two children at play on the lid. The design features traditional cobalt blue underglaze painting on a pale celadon-toned ground, with a six-character mark to the base.
The reign mark, written in underglaze cobalt blue, indicates Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, 1736-1795.
Good condition with expected bubbles and production defects in glaze.
