Pair of French Riviera albumen photographs, c.1885–1895, mounted back-to-back on the original thick card. Each print measures approximately 11 × 8.25 inches and displays the characteristic sepia tone of albumen printing from the late 19th century. The first photograph, titled Grasse – Le Grand Hôtel and credited “G. J. phot.,” shows the hillside Grand Hôtel at Grasse with surrounding terraced gardens and olive groves. The second photograph, titled Panorama de Menton – Vue prise de la Madone and marked “ND Phot.,” is by the Neurdein Frères studio and presents an elevated panoramic view of Menton from the hill of Notre-Dame de la Madone.
