Description: Max Verstappen triumphed at his home race, the 2022 Dutch Grand Prix, for the second year in a row, but he had to fight for the win in front of the fervent "Orange Army." After securing pole position, he controlled the early stages but a strategic battle with the Mercedes cars, followed by a late Virtual Safety Car and a full Safety Car period, created intense drama. The final restart saw Verstappen on soft tyres quickly dispatch Lewis Hamilton, who had inherited the lead by staying out on older mediums, to storm to his 10th victory of the season and further cement his commanding lead in the World Championship.
