The Yamaha PACIFICA has been a long-selling model since its launch in 1991, and is still a popular choice today. We now have the PAC821WX, a limited-edition model featured in the 1998 catalog! This model was the second to feature Seymour Duncan pickups in the Pacifica's history, following the top-of-the-line PACIFICA USA. While the Pacifica and Seymour Duncan combination is now a classic, back then the standard was to use original pickups, with some higher-end models featuring DiMarzio pickups. The guitar is equipped with the classic SH-1 (59') and two SSL-1 pickups. The guitar's components include Sperzel locking tuning machines and a Wilkinson VS-100G bridge, making it a truly special instrument. While it lacks a coil tap function, it features higher-grade components than the current PAC612. While the current Pacifica is also highly popular, enjoy this special model with a touch of '90s style! There are noticeable scratches and dents throughout the instrument, as well as tarnish/rust on the metal parts.
The truss rod works well, with ample room for adjustment in both forward and backward bow directions.
The neck has been adjusted with the rod, but it is slightly raised (slightly raised from the joint), which may cause some buzzing depending on your playing style. There is slight wear on the frets, but there is still enough left and it does not interfere with playability.
