This is a handcrafted forged horseshoe nail made into a Little Mediaeval, notice the spelling on the information card, Medieval spoon. It has a twist in the body of it as well as looped for a pendant if you choose to. It is very close to 2" long and considered to be very lucky. In Medieval times women used spoons similar to these to measure out condiments into cooking pot. Their history goes back hundreds of years. Gypsies in Italy and Europe make them in various forms as good luck charms. To achieve good luck the owner must truly believe but at the same time not expect the spoon to do all the work. If they are stolen the culprit can expect an ill wind. These are made by Blacksmith, W. Schult in Esperance, Washington. They are very rare and whoever wins one will be very happy with it!
