Antique Oil on Board Painting by Paul Jean Martel (1878-1944).  The painting is titled "Yacht Basin" & dated on the label "1909".  Painting is unsigned however the original gallery label from the Montgomery Gallery in San Francisco, California identifying this painting for sale is attached on the reverse.  Additionally, there is a conservators label identifying the painting by Paul Jean Martel.  Paul Jean Martel was born in 1878 in Laaken Belgium, trained in Belgium, the United States & France.  In 1906 he moved to the United States & eventually married in Philadelphia, Pa.  He is a listed artist & is well known for his portrait & impressionist landscapes of which this painting is one.  The painting measures 6" high x 8-1/2" long & framed 12-3/4" long x 10-1/4" high.  The painting was cleaned & conserved in 1985 with the conservators label attached on the reverse.  The painting is in very good condition, the frame shows use & age wear with a minor loss to the gold color upper right (shown in pictures).  The painting was painted using darker tones so pictures were taken both with & without the camera flash so all details of the painting could be conveyed.  Please view the pictures.  The listed shipping cost is for US buyers & shipping to e-bay's global shipping center for international buyers.
