I love this lens and have used mine for many years. It is my go to lens for long wildlife photography involving long walks. If I want some extra reach I use it with my d500 body. On a dx body it becomes the equivalent of a 120-600mm lens , very sharp, with a minimal size and weight. Note this is a D lens, so there is no AFS motor built in the lens. It relies on the camera body for autofocusing. I have used mine with D500, D850, D810, D700, D2x, and D1x bodies over the years and love it. The VR is useful as a walk around lens where I am traveling light and not carrying a tripod.
Condition is used, near mint condition, tested and
in good working order. Very clean glass with no signs of haze, fungus,
or scratches. The glass , barrel, and lettering are very clean, hard
to find signs of use. Even the tripod mounting foot is extremely clean.
