Tales of The Texas Rangers is a classic American television series from 1955-1958, based on the earlier radio series of the same name.
The television version was produced and also directed for several episodes by Stacy Keach, Sr. It was filmed by Screen Gems and sponsored for part of its run by Wheaties cereal.
Captain Manuel T. “Lone Wolf” Gonzaullas, a legendary Texas Ranger, served as consultant for the television series, just as he had done for the earlier radio version. His involvement helped give the programme an authentic Texas Ranger atmosphere.
Blending Western action, law enforcement drama, frontier justice, and crime investigation, Tales of The Texas Rangers is a superb addition for collectors of classic television, vintage Westerns, crime dramas, and public domain TV series.
