Intriguing vintage original chunky impasto abstract expressionism oil painting. Depicts an eye catching composition of incredibly thick paint. Entitled “Wheat Fields” on verso. Medium is oil on cardboard. Very well done with pleasing brushstrokes and capture of depth and emotion. This is probably from within the last couple decades or so but it’s quite stunning. It came framed in this antique gesso and wood frame which has been repainted gold and some point in the recent past. Painting is unsigned. Frame is signed in thick lettering on one arm (see photos).

In Excellent condition. Bold, clean and crisp with no damage to the painting. Frame shows gentle wear. The blue tape on the back is from us when we resecured the painting in the frame as well as the label.

Measures 22 1/2” x 14 1/2” and 29 1/2” x 21 1/2” with the frame.
