This engraved invitation to a reception held on January 21, 1909 at the White House is addressed to "The Misses Watkins". It is printed on 4 5/8" x 5 5/8" heavy card stock with a gold embossed eagle at the top.

Accompanied by a matching envelope addressed to the Misses Watkins as well as a slightly larger envelope imprinted "The White House" which is addressed to "Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Watkins Munsey Building Nashville American" and was likely used to deliver the invitation. Item #AM00382

Condition: The invitation is in very good condition. The two envelopes are soiled and have edge wear.
