ABOUT THE LEATHER: This is a Full-Grain Crazy Horse Pull-Up Side in a smooth, rich brown color, perfect for medium-sized craft projects. Weighing3-4 oz (approximately 1.2 - 1.6 mm) and offering 17+ square feet of usable material, this leather has a medium-soft temper with great drape and minimal stretch. When folded, rumpled, or creased, the oils within the skin disperse, creating a unique pull-up effect that adds depth and a desirable "crunch." Despite being an oil tan, this hide has a low waxy feel to the surface. As a smooth full-grain leather, it retains all natural cattle markings and lines, ensuring a unique finish.

• Square Footage: Based upon usable space on a hide. Example: 10 sqf of usable space, does not mean 10 perfect square pieces that you can cut from a hide.  

• Full Grain: Outer most layer of the skin. Can have scars, blemishes, bug bits, barbwire scratches and visible branding. 

• Top Grain (Also known as Corrected Grain Leather: Light removal of the top skin removing blemishes, scars, bug bits and will have low visibility of cattle branding. Still contains the outer most fibers for durability.  

• Vegetable Tanned: Organic materials used to dye the hide.

• Chrome Tanned: Most popular tanning process using Chromium dyes with a wider variety of colors. Longer lasting color when exposed to direct sunlight, for example Automotive seats.
