Up for your consideration:
A vintage Fenton Glass covered compote/candy dish, model #3887
in blue opalescent glass and hobnail pattern.
The bottom features a round, piecrust-type crimped-edge bowl (very attractive)
and a matching domed lid topped with a finial.
The piece is both decorative and functional.
It measures approximately 9 inches tall with the lid and about 6.5 inches in diameter,
the bowl has a top diameter of about 5 inches.
This compote was produced by Fenton during the 1950s
as part of their hobnail popular line.
The lid is secured with glass points along the underside of the lid.
A couple of these have some minor fleabites on the point,
but all are present and function to keep the lid secure.
If you enlarge the close up picture, you may be able to see this.
No other damage to report.
