The FHC Glendale Square Hinge is a 180 Degree Glass To Glass mounting component made from Brass material, intended for use in Residential Bath and Commercial Hotel Applications. This hinge features a Square profile and requires a Cutout Required in the monolithic tempered glass. The hinge accommodates Glass Thickness ranging from 3/8" to 1/2" (10mm to 12mm); for 3/8" glass, the approximate weight supported per panel is 5 lb, and for 1/2" glass, it is approximately 6.4 lb. When using two hinges, the maximum door weight capacity is 80 lbs, supporting a Maximum Door Width with 2 Hinges of 28", while three hinges support up to 120 lbs and a Maximum Door Width with 3 Hinges of 32". The hinge has an Overall Hinge Height of 3-1/2" and the Hinge Width (Each Side) is 2-3/16". The Closing Type is Self-Centering Within 15 Degree of Closed Position, complemented by a 5 Degree Factory Set Positive Close setting on the dual degree pivot pin, which can be field adjusted for an additional 5 degrees to achieve a firmer position against a jamb or seal. Installation requires tightening clamping screws by hand only to 45 lb-in per screw, alternating between screws, and re-tightening after 10 minutes to account for gasket compression; hard setting blocks can be used between the hinge body and glass cutout to prevent slippage on heavy doors. For maintenance, hinges are factory greased; if squeaking occurs, add a few drops of multi-purpose oil at the nylon washer/pivot, avoiding spray lubricants; if disassembled, apply white lithium grease to internal parts. Cleaning involves wiping dry daily and using a soft damp cloth with mild liquid cleaner, followed by rinsing with warm water.
