This mandolin is HANDMADE in the UK not mass produced in China. It takes over 50 hours skilled and experienced work. The brass alone cost £40.
352mm Scale Length, nickel plated brass body and fittings. The body is made from substantial 1mm thick, half hard brass sheet. Hand polished to a mirror finish before being plated with 15 to 20 microns of hard chrome.
Utiel neck ( like mahogany). Lacquered with 5 thin coats of PU lacquer. Rubbed down and hand polished to a mirror finish.
Fitted with an aluminium alloy, square tube, fixed truss rod.
Ebony finger board. 17 inch radius with a slight curve shaped into the fret board. Fret spacing cut to 0.01mm accuracy.
Bone nut. Hand fitted. The string slots are individually cut so the strings sit as close to the fret board as possible.
Pick-up Fitted. Duel piezo pickup; 1 on the cone and 1 under the biscuit for a fuller sound. Jack in body side.
