Original - 1933 CHICAGO SURFACE LINES - CENTURY OF PROGRESS ROUTE - TROLLEY TICKET - Dated: MAY 26 (2nd day of the fair for 1933). The Numbered Ticket - "060285" comes as described below.
The used / punched ticket features black text and image, along with red color, Route Text and blue color, Date of Issue, on top edge. The rear of ticket also has black text: "Chicago Surface Lines" info, "Penalty For Fraudulent Use" warning, and facsimile signature of "then" Surface Lines President: "G. W. Richardson", printed in black ink.
The tan, thin paper ticket comes punched with 7 small round holes, is approx. 2-1/4" high x 6-1/2" wide and comes as pictured. The ticket has some signs of handling on edges and corners along with some overall toning to it. There are assorted spots, smudges and some light spotting here and there. There are staples holes on the right side edge, some light diagonal creases, corner and edge chips and other signs of handling. The ticket was album stored away flat and away from light for a long time. Nice, 92 year old, Chicago World's Fair related item.
