For sale is gilded enameled demitasse spoon made by Gustav Klingert, one of well-known Russian silversmiths, who founded a factory in Moscow in 1865 and worked until end of 19 century.
Before opening his own factory Klingert initially was working as a master for Faberge.
His shop produced a range of items in silver gilt with intricate enamel work, such cigarette cases, boxes, tableware.
His work was recognized at international exhibitions such as Exposition in Paris (1889) and the World Columbian Exposition in Chicago (1893). His popular items were exported to US through Tiffany&Co.
In 1896 Klingert was granted the Imperial Warrant and become a supplier to the Russian Imperial Court.
The back of the spoon has beautiful cloisonné filled with blue enamel and adorned with white enameled dots.
Gilding is intact and overall condition is very good except of one white dot is broken (see photo)
