This large Antique Arita Ko Sometsuke Transfer Ware Blue & White Japanese Porcelain Bowl is a rare and valuable piece of Japanese porcelain, dating back to the late 19th century late Edo/ early Meiji period. The intricate blue and white design of the bowl showcases the traditional Japanese style of Arita Ko Sometsuke Transfer Ware in underglaze Cobalt Blue with hand painted underglaze Cobalt Blue washes, making it a unique and desirable collectible for enthusiasts of Asian/Oriental antiques.

The bowl is in good antique condition with signs of age and use there is a very fine hairline crack to the rim which is only barely noticeable and fine line to the glaze on the base which doesn’t go all the way through! The bowl still “rings” when tapped! Measuring 8cm high and 18cm in diameter. Originating from Japan, this antique original bowl is a beautiful and authentic representation of Japanese craftsmanship and design from mid 19th Century adding a touch of elegance and history to any collection.
