AVANT BRACELET by Avon

NOS ~ New Old Stock in Original Box dated 1976 which is when I believe these were made.

***This item is what’s known as a “Book Piece”. It was featured in Identifying Avon Jewelry by Sandra Sturdivant. It’s shown on Page 146.

This Bracelet is in amazing shape for being almost 50 yrs old! Perfect addition for a collection. I did clean this prior to taking photos using Jewelry Cloth made by Sunshine. The Yellow Sunshine polishing cloths which is what I have found works best for Avon’s Vintage Jewelry.

This item is part of a huge Avon Store estate I am selling from a Woman located in N Idaho who retired at 101 after 70 yrs of selling Avon. Rose Christmann actually had an Avon Store called 🌹Rose’s Avon Shop in Coeur D Alene. She was known as the Avon Outlaw up here & her story can still be found online to this day. She had made International news when she battled the city to allow her to keep working after age & health issues made it difficult when she was in her 70’s. This was b4 we had laws to protect Seniors & disabled people so her story of extreme hardship that she never gave up even after being jailed twice over selling lipstick! ~ a battle she ultimately won is impressive. She’s 1 of many who helped pave a better way for many who struggle.

I try to share her story in my listings. I feel that any of her items that are bought for collections - the items history & story adds value.
