This is the Windows-XP based bootable OS and oscilloscope software hard drive for Agilent Infiniium/Infinium 54830/54855 series oscilloscopes:
54830B, 54830D, 54831B, 54831M*, 54831D, 54832B, 54832D (There's a mix of Win98 and WinXP units around)
54854A, 54855A (These ship with Win XP by default. No hassle)
This listing is intended for replacing a broken hard drive for units that were already shipped with (or upgraded to) Windows XP.
* 54831M ships with Windows 98 for sure (it's a custom batch for the military. all it adds is a service manual targeted at the military): this won't work on 54831M unless the unit has been upgraded to Windows XP before through other means. N5383A is mandatory
Refer to my N5383A listing if you are upgrading a Windows 98 oscilloscope to Windows XP, like for 54831M.
The process is not trivial, and you'll get a lot more support from the N5383A listing (it comes with a guarantee that your upgrade is successful or have your money back).
Inquire upfront: tell me the model, what motherboard you have (I can help you to find out) and whether it has Windows XP on it before.

This is to protect those with a potentially failing VP22 board that the HDD controller starts corrupting data.
The drive is GUARANTEED TO WORK if ALL of the following are true:
1) Your oscilloscope was shipped with Windows XP or were upgraded to Windows XP successfully at some point (or else you need N5383A)
2) Your VP22 motherboard is not failing (Windows 98 loading doesn't mean the controller is good. If it boots intermittently, it's a sign of impending death.)
3) You are using the correct PCI interface card that matches with your Acq board. Hint: upgrade to the latest oscilloscope software first.
