Urge is a soft drink product from the Coca-Cola Company. Urge was first launched in Norway as a test product. Urge then came to several European countries in 1996 and quickly became popular. This led Coca-Cola to choose to launch Urge in the United States to compete with Pepsi's Mountain Dew. There, the drink was named Surge instead where it was discontinued for most markets in 2003.
