The AWD filter and Haldex oil is an often overlooked service requirement for the four-wheel-drive systems. This causes failure of the pump and in some
cases the complete Haldex system.
The filter captures particles including metal fragments from the Haldex system and prevents them entering delicate components like the Haldex pump.
