Odisei Music Travel Sax 2 Wind Synth/Controller - Blue Royal

Travel Sax Wind Synth/Controller with Onboard Sounds, Airflow Sensor, Authentic Sax Key Layout, Steel Springs, and Alto Mouthpiece - Blue Royal

The Incredible Little Travel Sax 2

The Odisei Music Travel Sax 2 takes the concept of the travel saxophone to the next level. It comes with a real alto sax mouthpiece and adapters for your own soprano, tenor, or baritone mouthpiece. It has a speaker and a headphone jack, in addition to internal synth sounds for instant go-anywhere practice. There’s also a companion app that gives you access to additional features, such as breath sensor MIDI channel assignment. But its main calling card is its authentic saxophone key layout and stainless steel spring action, which gives you the feel of the real thing. Factor in its exceedingly small size and light weight (under a pound), and the Travel Sax 2 checks all the boxes for a practice instrument you can play anywhere without disturbing others.

Self-contained wind synth and MIDI controller

For onboard sounds, the Travel Sax 2 gives you a basic MIDI soundset, which is a fair tradeoff for being able to play anywhere with a self-contained instrument. But you can also use it as a wind controller in the studio, using its USB/MIDI output to connect to your favorite DAW and lay down tracks with premium software sounds. Another useful feature is Bluetooth audio streaming, which lets you practice along with your favorite tunes and hear it all through the built-in speaker or headphones. There’s also an aux-in jack so you can plug in analog signals. At Sweetwater, we’ve been hands-on with several electronic wind instruments, and we’re impressed with how the Travel Sax 2 uniquely combines all the attributes sax players deem essential in such a compact package. If you’re in the market for such an instrument, we heartily suggest you check out the Odisei Music Travel Sax 2!
