The desk and seat have been made child friendly.
All efforts have been made to ensure that the wood is smooth and there are no sharp edges.
The desk has been stripped down and all the old bolts and screws have been replaced with new. Plastic caps have been added to the end of the bolts.
The cast iron framework has been sanded and resprayed.
The woodwork has had a random painted stripe applied to take the plain look away.
All hinges work well. The original hole for the inkwell has had a black plastic tube fitted which will take pens, pencils.
The paint is farrow & ball. 2 top coats of Osmo PolyX and the cast iron framework has had 2 coats of Plastikote Green Satin.
Measurements. Desk height 82cm -78cm x 61cm x 45cm
Seat height 46cm x 61cm x 20cm wide
Backrest height 78cm.
The desk is heavy but will fit in the back of a SUV with the seats down.
