Miken Vicious 14" Balanced Dual Stamp Slow Pitch Softball Bat: MV14B1
Head to the plate with violent intentions with the menacing Miken Vicious 14" Balanced Dual Stamp Slow Pitch Bat!
Bat Benefits
This Psycho 13" has a one-piece, all-composite build from Miken's Dual Flex Composite material which undergoes a special layering process to improve barrel flex and performance.
Miken has equipped this specific Psycho with a 13-inch barrel that will carry their SuperMax load, which will have a fairly concentrated sweet spot due to the end-loaded feel. In return, this will reward well-struck balls with unmatched distance and exit velocity.
Lastly, this bat is going to be "Dual Stamped" which means it will carry both the USSSA (New 240 Stamp) & the USA (ASA) stamp. As well it is going to have the NSA & ISA stamps. Due to all those stamps being present, this bat will be legal in just about any league out there!
Warranty
Miken is willing to offer a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty on this bat. If you have purchased the bat from us and notice a defect on the bat within that original 12 month time period, please reach out to our Bat Experts. They will be happy to get you all the information needed to reach out to Miken to begin the warranty replacement process.
An important thing to remember is that Miken will not accept a bat back for a warranty replacement if it does not have the original serial sticker with it. Because of that, be sure that you save the serial sticker that comes on the bat’s taper when it is first delivered.
Reviews
Pros: BP of about 75 swings and the feel and power were evident. I've used it in four games. Aside from a couple of fielder's choice plays, nothing but hits so far resulting in a 1.000 on-base percentage. When I hit the sweet spot, the ball has high exit velocity.
Cons: Jury is still out, but waiting to see if the sweet spot is as limited as it appears.
Pros: 26oz. Lightweight controllable handling. Several team members seem to like using it. Not a HR stick, but nice for shallow outfield / placement hits.
Cons: The grip seemed of lower quality material and not wrapped that tight. After 11 games and few practice sessions, the grip material has separated from it's adhesive backing. Expected better durability for the money paid. Side note: not a CON, just FYI - the bat is balanced and the sweat spot is a bit more toward the batter than expected. Get the uncomfortable feeling of being closer to the pitch than naturally preferred for good contact. Quite noticeable in sound and feel if the sweet spot contact is missed. Personal preference, of course, however end load likely better choice for next bat purchase. Probably will not be a Miken. Bat is ok for current use, just not a standout.
