Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing.
This is the M series Steve Lukather model ROBOT made by Valley Arts Japan.
The previous owner bought it in 1998, but probably it's now a very valuable model.
For a used guitar from about 30 years ago, probably it is in relatively good condition with no serious scratches or damage.
When the previous owner purchased it, the salesperson told me it was an alder body, so please just take this as a reference.
Please note that there are some modifications:
The rear pickup is an EMG 58, not an 85. (The 58 Caramelback is also hard to find these days.)
It is designed to use 2 batteries (18V). (It can be easily restored by simply connecting the battery snaps in series.)
The jack plate has been replaced with a black boat-shaped one (the original flat plate is also included).
The strap pin has been replaced with a Dunlop locking type. (The original strap pin is not included.)
Also, there is currently some scratching in the volume pot, but as the previous owner do not have any parts on hand would ask the purchaser to replace it themselves.
There are some dents in the frets from the strings, but overall more than 70% remains, so don't think there is any need to replace or file them down yet.
In addition, there is deterioration, some marks, and scuffs due to aging, so please refrain from purchasing if you are particular about the condition or if you will have difficulty adjusting or replacing parts.
It has been lightly cleaned.
The only accessories included are the general-purpose hard case (with lock) shown in the image for transportation purposes, as well as the original jack plate and tremolo arm.
The case has signs of wear due to storage.
Please inspect pictures for condition reference.
