Yes, Lava has something new called the Blue Lava Smart guitar! What's different? It's a great little 36" just like the Me 2 & Me 3, but this is not carbon fiber, it's HPL (high-pressure lament) obviously heavier than carbon fiber, but HPL offers similar benefits. HPL material is suitable for temperatures of -4°F ~ 122°F and relative humidity of 10% ~ 90%. This makes for a stable, easy to maintain, guitar, not affected by the weather. HPL is why the Blue Lava is cheaper, BUT it does have the same Me3 Smart guitar (HILAVA System) so you get all the great features packed into the same size guitar for $100s less!
Tonally I will say, this is not as bright as the carbon fiber, but it does offer a nice acoustic sound. The process of high-pressure lamination offers a much better sound quality than the old-school laminated guitars. It really shines with the electronics on, whether you play plugged in or not. You still get an array of sound effects that you can choose through the menu and download more effects and other tunes to play along with, same as the Me3 version, which is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, and has a built-in tuner. Inspiration can hit at any time and the recording app lets you record anywhere. It can effectively eliminate ambient noise, leaving only the pure original sound. Timing is everything, and even more so when playing music! Now you can play better by playing and practicing with the built-in metronome app. Not only can you play/practice with the preset rhythms, but this app can recognize the rhythm of fingertips too.

All are new, A stock unless marked otherwise. These guitars are being sold for less than cost and if returned for any reason besides shipping damage, there is a 20% restock fee. If you want your package fully insured, you must pay the extra money for it. I use ShipSaver; they are cheaper than the carriers, and I’ve never had any issues with a claim. $1 per $100 of coverage. If there is damage, it must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. The guitar will need to be packaged up for return shipping, so keep all packaging materials.

What you see is the actual instrument we ship. We occasionally use stock photos from the manufacturer, but they are removed as soon as photos are taken. We photograph every instrument, so you know exactly what you are getting, except for carbon fiber. We use stock photos for carbon fiber guitars & ukuleles because there are no variances. Small handcrafted parts like inlay pickguards and bridge pins are also photographed because woods, abalone, and mother-of-pearl colors vary. We take detailed pictures of all of our products.
Buying Used & B Stock Gear- MOST B-STOCK IS IN NEW CONDITION with factory warranty unless otherwise noted. - Used gear will always be an as-is sale. We will do our best to describe it in the most common, understandable grading condition. But keep in mind, that our description and grading of mint, excellent, good, etc. may be different than yours, so please ask questions about any instrument.
Instrument Setup- We check all new instruments to ensure each is set up correctly, to normal standards (or factory standards). We cannot guarantee that the setup will be what the buyer "likes," although we've never had a complaint. Not everyone likes factory or standard specs, so it's up to the buyer to set up their new instrument. Because conditions (heat/cold/humidity) change during shipping, most guitars (except the Lava Me and other carbon fiber guitars) are shipped tuned down to DADGAD which applies just enough tension to the neck.
Returns
All instruments have a 20% restocking fee if returned with the original packaging intact (as it was shipped). There's no restocking fee for small parts and accessories unless it was a special order, special orders are non-refundable. For all returns, you must email us within 5 days of receipt to return a product. The return window for the products is 14 days, calculated from the day the package was delivered. Simply send us an e-mail request to and put "return request" in the subject line, or use the Reverb message system. No returns on clearance or direct offer sales over 20% off. We do recommend you insure any guitar not in a case for full price, and guitars in a case for the price of the case, or full price. We use ShipSaver to insure packages.
