PCGS authenticated and graded XF 45. Choice glossy medium chocolate brown with lighter brown toning on the devices on the reverse. Smooth and very attractive with just a light touch of friction on the devices. The only notable mark is a small planchet fissure in the dentils over the first G in GEORGIVS. This piece was struck two times. The first impression was centered on the planchet and the second was about 5% off center to K-1.5. Obvious evidence of the double strike is present on both sides. LDS with strong die cracks on the right side of the reverse. Superior to the Martin plate coin for the die state. The attribution, Double Struck error, and Sydney Martin Collection provenance are noted on the special PCGS label.
