Here we have an original steering column release lever and mounting clips for certain model 1967 1968 or 1969 Ford Mustang models including Mach 1 and Shelby GT 350 / GT 500 as well as any 68-69 Mercury Cougar models including XR7 with the tilt swing away steering column option. This part mounts on the upper flange and when depressed by the turn signal lever it releases the locking pawls allowing the column to be adjusted up or down. If your tilt column will not adjust up & down, then possibly one of your mounting clips has broken and your lever may be misaligned. If you are planning repair work on your tilt column you may want to grab up these pieces since this, they are not found on fixed columns and they are extremely hard to find and are not reproduced.   If you have any questions or would like additional photo's, please email me thank you for looking.
