A marine sergeant named Coker had received a pinup of Betty Grable and looked to it for comfort during his time in the war. When G.I. Robot grabbed the pinup to look at it, Sgt. Coker took it back, claiming that "nuts an' bolts don't have feelin's."
Sgt. Coker was sent to investigate Green Patrol's whereabouts with G.I. Robot, much to his dismay. The two came upon a Japanese soldier pretending to be dead. G.I. Robot quickly killed the enemy soldier and Coker wondered how his companion anticipated the attack. After searching the jungle for another hour, Sgt. Coker and G.I. Robot came upon the Hill People and their princess Pia, who were preparing to bury members of Green Patrol. The sergeant claimed that robots don't have hearts, although Pia disagreed.
Deeper in the jungle, Japanese troops attempted to surprise the marines, but were anticipated and killed by G.I. Robot. Once again, Sgt. Coker wondered how G.I. Robot anticipated an attack. A dying, lone Japanese survivor returned to his commanding officer Colonel Hideki and warned him about G.I. Robot. The dying soldier requested that Colonel Hideki execute him for the "shame he brought to the emperor" for returning alive. Then, Colonel Hideki planned to bring in G.I. Robot alive.
