The JBL CBT 70JE-1 extends your CBT 70J-1 line array column speaker with four 5" woofers, yielding chest-thumping low-end down to 45Hz. These high-power low-frequency drivers feature dual-magnet neodymium motors with 1.5" diameter voice coils that provide top-shelf sound reproduction with minimum distortion. This extension cabinet includes a built-in crossover that's purpose-built for a CBT 70J-1 + 70JE-1 system, ensuring an optimal balance of frequencies. The CBT 70JE-1 is housed in a durable fiberglass-reinforced ABS enclosure with a heavy-duty aluminum grill.

When you add a CBT 70JE-1 to your CBT 70J-1, the result is a powerful line array with extended bass response, greater pattern control, and incredible output. The combined system employs JBL's Constant Beamwidth Technology to produce incredibly balanced projection across a large area. The far areas will benefit from a higher concentration of sound with a tighter pattern. The closer areas will experience a lower concentration with a broader vertical pattern. In short, a CBT 70J-1 + 70JE-1 system ensures that your entire audience experiences excellent sound. At Sweetwater, we've found the CBT 70JE-1 easy to install — you simply attach it to the top of your CBT 70J-1 using the included coupler plate.
