This first full color edition of Gaiman's first published comics work highlights the visual richness McKean's original pages reproduced to reveal the color he peppered throughout his pages, even while knowing the original British printing would appear in black-&-white. Intriguing in its own right — indeed, seen as long intended for the first time — this color version enjoys its own distinctive appearance & tone — something like a colorized 1930s movie.
