Corgi Classics CC60304 1:50 Bedford QLD Army Fire Truck Limited Edition

Production of the QL 4 x 4 began early in 1941 and continued producing approx. 12,000 per year until 1944 : The QL looked very different to previous Bedfords with its forward-control layout and high build, this being very important later in the war. enabling it to land on beaches from landing craft and negotiate flooded ground and streams. The wartime QL models appeared in various guises - the QLB tractor, QLC tanker, QLT troop carrier, QLR wireless vehicle and the QLD standard lorry with tilt. After the war, a number of these vehicles were used within the Army Fire Service.
