Compatibility
This steam gasket kit is a group of all genuine OEM Rancilio parts and will fit any Rancilio Silvia. Two of the O-Rings are for the steam valve stem, and on the V1 and V2 Silvias, the other 2 are for where the wand connects to the steam valve. On the Rancilio Silvia V3, you will have 2 O-rings leftover, but you can choose to use one where the tip threads onto the wand.

Preventative Maintenance
Rubber gaskets degrade with age and when placed in high heat and pressure environments, something in plentiful supply inside a steam valve. They can also age prematurely with limescale build-up. Limescale is rock and will create impressions in the rubber. When the limescale breaks loose, the impression remains and can cause a leaky valve. To reduce limescale build-up, always use Properly Treated Water. To remove limescale build-up before it causes additional problems, follow the Descaling procedures in our Knowledge Base.
