YAMAHA FG-300D Used 1983 Natural w/Hard case
Used item from Yamaha's classic FG series
More than 50 years have passed since Yamaha's first domestically produced folk guitars, the FG180 and FG150, were introduced in 1966, and the FG/FS series remains extremely popular among beginners.
This model, FG-300D, is an individual manufactured in 1983, and the top material is Ezo pine and the side and back are American walnut.The walnut material, which has characteristics relatively similar to rosewood, has a well-balanced sound and a strong start. Its characteristic is a good and energetic tone. The neck is made of Nato wood and the fingerboard is made of palisandre. Although palisandre is a wood that is not familiar to Yamaha products these days, it was relatively used in older Yamahas, and was used until the mid-90s. It is made of wood.
The sound of the guitar itself is moderately dry, and since the neck is slightly thicker than the current model, it has a spacious sound with a core.
Since this is a 40 year old guitar, there are strong signs of use such as dents and cloudy paint. Since it is an old guitar, the string height is high by design, so the neck has been reset and adjusted at a repair workshop, and there are enough frets left, so it is still in use.
Please note that even if you reset the neck, due to the design, it is not possible to set it as low as other manufacturers.
