Originally used on the following models equipped with Cruise-O-Matic or FMX automatic transmissions:

• 1963–1972 Ford Galaxie, LTD, Thunderbird, Custom 500, Country Squire

• 1963–1972 Mercury Monterey, Marquis, Colony Park, Marauder
