If you're looking to wear a traditional Japanese way,
Choose a length that's plus or minus 5cm from your height.
For example, if you're 160cm tall, a kimono between 155cm and 165cm would fit you.
(However, if you omit the obi and wear it as a gown, size isn't an issue.)
Kimonos are designed to be passed down from parent to child, so a kimono is made with this consideration.
Many kimonos are made with a technique called "nuikomi" (sewn-in) that allows for lengthening.
(bodice, sleeves, and shoulders). However, because they have a lining, undoing this stitching would take
a little bit of time.
