  • For 1JZ, 2JZ engine.
  • 54mm long Ti stud with 4mm hex socket in one end.
  • Ideal length for use with 3mm thickness washer and flange nuts - available in the JASENGINE shop.
  • The material is grade 5 titanium, most widely used titanium alloy. Ti-6Al-4V also sometimes called TC4, Ti64 or ASTM (Titanium with 6% Aluminium and 4% Vanadium). It has excellent corrosion resistance to salt water, marine atmospheres and a variety of corrosive media temperatures below 300 ° C.
  • Strength is slightly less than an equivalent 10.9 steel fastener.
  • Stronger than 316 stainless steel fasteners.
  • When installing these exhaust studs it is important to apply either an anti-seize grease such as molybdenum disulphide or copper ‘slip’ grease. 
  • Failure to apply anti-seize grease (on non-safety critical fixings) may cause the threads to gall on final torque of fastener and a seized/damaged thread.
  • For safety critical applications, do NOT apply anti-seize grease; apply a thread locking solution (e.g Loctite medium strength) on the threads before assembly.
  • Recommended maximum tightening torque for a Titanium M10 x 1.25 fastener ~38 Nm (Always check any particular torque specifications for your application).
  • Tip: Steel bolts with an 8.8 rating can be replaced with Gr5 Titanium versions, while bolts with a 10.9 rating can potentially be replaced with Gr5 Titanium versions depending on the intended use!
