An excellent fully hardy perennial,
forming a clump of large, rounded deep green leaves, turning purplish
in winter. Bears lovely showy bright pink flowers in clusters on red
stems to around 45cm in height from April to June.
The flowers are loved by bees and other pollinating insects, providing them with a nice early season feed hence it has been awarded the RHS Plants for Pollinators badge.
Ideal for the front of a cottage garden border or as ground cover under taller shrubs and roses. Can be grown in a pot or container in a shady courtyard or doorway.
