FormX is a hand-moldable thermoplastic that transforms into a shapeable material in hot water at 60°C, then hardens into a durable, reusable component as it cools. This makes it suitable for DIY repairs, prototyping, crafting, and custom fabrication where you need to create or fix parts quickly without specialist equipment.
The product works by softening in hot water until the pellets turn clear and pliable - simply mould by hand to your desired shape, allow to cool, and it sets firm. Because it's fully reusable, you can reheat and reshape FormX repeatedly, making it economical for iterative design work, tooling, model making, and one-off repairs. The 1kg resealable pack provides a generous working quantity and keeps unused pellets clean and dry between projects.
FormX suits a wide range of applications: fixing broken latches and handles, creating custom tool grips, building cosplay components, repairing outdoor gear, fashioning replacement parts, and rapid prototyping. No toxic fumes, no special tools, and no mixing required - just hot water and your hands. The material is non-toxic and certified biodegradable per EN13432, ASTM D6400 (BPI), and TÜV Austria standards. Fully biodegrades in 84 days in industrial composting without toxic residue, making it safe for home workshop use.
