Rare Vintage Japanese Kimekomi Doll; Wonderful Straw Hat & Fishing ItemsThis is a charming little Kimekomi doll.
The details of his face are exquisite; he has attached side pieces of black hair.
His head moves to each side a bit; he also has a removable straw hat.
The tiny weaving of the hat is incredible.
He is carrying on his back a rectangular papier mache basket.
He has a wonderful straw hat, fishing pole and basket.
Very good vintage condition, although he is missing one hand.
5" high (without hat) x 4" deep (with back basket) x 3" wide.
Hat is 3-1/4" diameter x 1-3/4" high
Fishing pole is 6=1/2" x 2"; the basket comes out.
No marks on the bottom; I don't know the age.
