* The aperture of this lens is controlled by two rings, One is set to the desired f-stop for the correct exposure and the other is used to manually stop down the lens down, to that selected aperture, just prior to firing the shutter. This does make use on SLR cameras more involved but if lens is adapted to a mirrorless camera the lens can be left stopped down at all times.
