This is a small 5-inch gold mohair bear from Iris and Chen Cheney of H.M. Bears. 

I bought him in 1999 at Prince Street in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is the sweetest little bear with his hand-knit dark gold sweater.

He has been put away in a glass cabinet since I brought him home from Scotland in 1999. Never exposed to smoke, perfume, or scent of any kind. 

I owned a bear shop in Prescott, AZ, at the time but I was an artist bear collector above all of that. I bought the shop because I was worried it would close and I had it for 23 years. With my Scottish roots, the trip to the UK was an opportunity to find special artist bears for my collection. (I never made a dime from my shop. I had it for the love of bears and other animals.)

I love this little bear and his brother in another listing, but am getting older and don't want to see my beautiful bears end up in a thrift shop someday. I want other collectors to enjoy and love them. So this handsome bear hopefully will find his new home.
