Spector’s ongoing collaboration with Darkglass Electronics has yielded limited-edition bundles that have caught the interest of bassists seeking a professional-grade bass that makes a sonic statement. Now, the Spector Legacy preamp makes the partnership official. Designed by Darkglass, the Legacy preamp is an absolute tone beast that pumps out impossibly fat low end and crisp mid/high growl — a potent sonic elixir with the power to punch through thick arrangements and hold its own in any mix. Fed from the instrument’s heavily shielded EMG PJ pickup set, these active electronics deliver a strong, clean output signal that can drive long cable runs and complex processing chains without a hint of noise.
